Oscar Zulu - The Mahogany Series Vol. 3

The Mahogany Series Vol. 3 by Oscar Zulu is the latest collection introduced into the Square One Music Library. Following the previous Mahogany Series packs, this installment focuses specifically on authentic vintage compositions. Inspired by the soulful sounds of the 70’s, RnB songs of the 80’s, and other vintage music from around the world, Oscar has crafted 15 compositions with authentic sounding tones, textures, phrases, and patterns. 

This pack was crafted using a mix of analog and modern tools, including electric and acoustic guitars, live vocals, drums and percussion, vintage mics, amps, reel-to-reel tape machines, and high-quality vintage emulation plugins. The result is a collection of samples that perfectly capture the warmth, texture, and soulful vibe reminiscent of classic recordings.

The Mahogany Series is suited well for producers looking for the real vintage sample sound. From Westside Gunn to J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q to Drake and Jack Harlow, these samples can work across several different sub-genres in hip hop.
