Crabtree Music Library - Essentials Vol. 1

Crabtree Essentials Vol. 1 brings together the core sound of the library in a single collection. The foundation of this pack is soul music, but many of the compositions also draw on ideas from Eastern Europe, which holds a special place in my heart. The result is a set of dynamic compositions that feel familiar and steady, yet carry small shifts in harmony and texture that create a different kind of movement.

Each composition was arranged by Matthew “MTK” Crabtree, a multi-platinum, multi-Grammy award nominees with a diverse history of producer collaborations, ranging from Timbaland, Eminem, Madlib, Ye, 808 Mafia, and Tay Keith.  This pack was created almost exclusively with live instrumentation, using vintage machines and FX to give an authenticity that few can match.  The goal was to create material that feels grounded and musical on its own, while also being easy to sample, loop, or reshape.
